Costs

Hello,

Drivers Education:

We offer a link to a low cost on-line drivers education course. If you have any questions, give me a call at 707-295-1994.

In-Car Drivers Training:

Teenagers needing their six-hours of in-car drivers training to get a drivers license (adults, scroll down to see more info for single lessons):

  • We offer 100% private two hour lessons. You need to have your permit to take lessons. The DMV requires each lesson for minors to be no more than two hours per day.
  • You pay for only one lesson at a time.
    • Remember, if you are comparing cost of schools, Lake-Mendo does private lessons. Not all schools do so be careful.
      • Lake-Mendo Driving School is the only school using a sports car and giving 100% private lessons; you will never have a student in the back watching and judging you
        • Do not be fooled. If another school tells you they do private lessons, double check by asking them if time picking up and dropping off other students will be a part of your lesson. If this is done, this is not a private lesson!
        • I never double up lessons; if I have two lessons back-to-back, I complete one and then use my own time and money to go to the next. If a school has you picking up and dropping off other students, this is strictly for their benefit because it saves them time and money
    • We take payment by cash, check, or money order. We charge the standard $25 fee for a returned check.
    • There will be a $50 fee for a no-show (instructor shows up for lesson but student not available.
    • To get your permit, you need to complete drivers education. The course we link to is designed for California rules and regulations and issues an official  DMV certificate of completion.
  • We offer lessons during the week and on weekends.

Single lessons for either minors or adults:

  • Individual lessons are $145 for two hours.
  • If you are a minor you need a permit. If you are 18 years or older you need to have either a permit or drivers license. If you are 18 years or older, visit our page for adults to learn more.
  • If you are an adult with a foreign drivers license you need to check with the DMV to determine if you can be driving with your out of country license. This can vary according to your circumstances.

Please give me a call or text at 707-295-1994 if you have any questions.
Thanks so much,
